Organized the first ever professional MBBS examination in the College in September 2015
Relocated the Provost Office from its former location at the Old Library building to its present location within 6 weeks of assuming office
The Biochemistry and Pharmacology Building, which was originally intended for only two departments, was redesigned at the cost of less than half a million Naira (<$1,500) to house the Provost's Office, the Faculty Office of the Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences, and the departmental and staff offices of all five departments in the faculty, as well as the Department of Medical Biochemistry. This was the most essential prerequisite for all subsequent accreditations.
Formed the Parents' Forum and raised close to 15 million Naira for the third accreditation in 2017, when the then state government refused to provide financing. The University now raises funds for its accreditations using a similar strategy.
Established students Hostels at the Outreach centres in Igbemo Health Centre and Ikere-Ekiti Specialist Hospital. These were important requirements for accreditation
Established an outreach center the Specialist Hospital Ikere-Ekiti for external posting of students in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
Got the Third and Fourth (final) MBBS Professional Accreditation
In 2015, we established an administrative structure for the Medical Student Hostel by creating a regulatory document and appointing Hall Wardens and Hall Mistresses as well as Management and Welfare Committees. This was the first time such structures were put in place in the history of the University.
Setup a Mini Clinical Skills Laboratory (CSL) which included a full component computerized manikin and four Little Anne CPR models. The CSL was commenced by scavenging mannequins and models that have been abandoned. We also held a training, which was certificated by one of the foremost experts on CSL in Nigeria.
We setup the Medical Education Research Unit for electronic capturing of lectures for online assess by students.
Networked the College office, and established paperless administration in the College
We Installed an inverter-based, College-wide lighting system for the College at night.
We established the EKSU Funeral Home to offer an affordable, professional and modern mortuary services to the community at the Anatomy Department
Installed an inverter-based lighting system at the College Academic Building in the Hospital ensuring 24-hour supply of electricity in all the lecture rooms and the Clinical Skills laboratory
Organised the first-ever College Week with complete student and resident doctor participation in Scientific Sessions. The three students with the best presentations received full sponsorship to attend the National Orthopaedic Association Conference in Lagos, which they went with me. It is the first time students have participated in the Conference.
Together with the Medical and Dental Consultant Association of Nigeria and the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, we established “The Nigerian Stethoscope” journal, the very first peer-reviewed medical journal in Ekiti State
Instituted a college-wide, computer-based auditing and indexing of all college equipment and furniture. This is vital to prevent their loss and monitor their movement

College of Health Sciences and Technology (COHESTI), Ijero-Ekiti was established to train low to medium level healthcare workforce. The Governing Council is the highest decision making body in the institution and is responsible for policy making and has financial and administrative oversight
Key Achievements
Within four months of the Board's inauguration, the four primary officers of the College were appointed. It was the first time in the College's history that the appointment was based on National Board of Technical Education (NABTEC) guidelines
Ensured a more regular payment of staff's salaries
Introduced affiliate programs with Kwara State University to improve IGR
Organised in-service training programmes for staffs of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido-Ekiti. This has yielded millions of Naira for the College.
Reconfigured the College Management Structure in accordance with best academic practices.
Convert all temporary staff to permanent staff without endangering the college's financial stability.
implemented the recommendations made by the Ade-Oluwa Committee, which was tasked with standardizing and ensuring the academic culture in the College.
Implemented a college portal that was developed in-house and was overseen by the ICT Committee that I chaired initially. This has saved the College millions and has also ensured the security of the College online presence
Organized the first ever Annual College Scientific Conference
Organized a series of Training workshop for academic staff. I delivered several hands-on training on PowerPoint, Zotero, online literature searches and statistics
Approved the establishment of several new departments including paramedics
Attracted a 22-million Naira funding from the Resource Mobilization Management Committe for the construction of the Health center
Ensure the renovation of classrooms and hostels in the College
Started the process for the upgrading of the College to a polytechnic. The College Law has been thorougly revised and is currently awaiting the Governor's approval
Upgraded the financial regulatory document of the College
Established a standard e-library developed in-house
An ethical committee is currently being established
The College is currently setting up the Nigerian Journal of Health Sciences and Technology.
